SinopsisExpert system abilities to solve problems which canot be solved with certain algorithm, enables to build an expert system to diagnose diseases. In order to complete the final task, an expert system which can be used to diagnose and give treatment to epilepsy and its family is being constructed in this research. Once again, certainty factor method used in MYCIN in the middle of 1970s is used to anticipate incomplete and uncertain knowledge. The final result of this research is an expert system prototype to diagnose and give treatment to epilepsy and its family. This prototype has some main menu. They are data input, acquisition, consultation, and explanation. By giving the accurate knowledge in knowledge base and followed by tests which is being done seriously, it is to be hoped that this system can be used to help doing diagnosis and give treatment to epilepsy and its family correctly and accurately.
